I do feel quite polished in this color combination. And there's always a safe and dressy feeling about wearing lots of black, no?
The skirt is Club Monaco and was just $40, down from $130. It is very pleat-y and puffy, which is cool with me. I like the way the tucks went with my Jackie-cardi-topped shirt, which I got for $30 at J. Crew and has a nice row of ruffly fluffiness. You might feel differently, but I do love the ruffle trend and will probably cling to it a little longer than appropriate.
